Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu, in a message commemorating Vietnam’s 81st National Day, emphasized Japan’s commitment to collaborating with Vietnam towards a future marked by increased strength and prosperity. This sentiment is echoed by Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki, who noted that the bilateral relationship has entered a new phase ripe with opportunities in finance, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and energy. She highlighted that such collaboration could support economic growth and contribute to maintaining regional stability.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu described the current stage of relations between the two countries as the strongest in history. He pointed to significant progress in areas such as science and technology, innovation, green and digital transformation, energy, and the development of skilled human resources. Both nations are focusing on leveraging their complementary economic strengths and deepening trust to expand the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
